On November 4, 2025, all 50 mining barracks designed and manufactured by Wanzhi Steel arrived and were delivered to the northern mountains of Jamaica. These residences will provide a complete living community integrating living, dining, bathroom facilities, and offices for over 200 workers on the Mountain Gold Mining Project.

Client Background
The client, who was responsible for cost estimation for this project, found us by searching for “mining workers’ dormitories.” After reviewing our past successful projects in the mining and power industries, he proactively contacted us via online consultation.
He indicated that he needed ready-to-use temporary housing, with some areas requiring two-story stacking, and that each unit should include a dining room and bathroom. He would later install toilets, showers, and kitchen appliances.

Project Production
Considering the mountainous location of the application, the entire project’s production process must take into account fire prevention, lightning protection, and earthquake resistance.
All unit frames utilize hot-dip galvanizing, laser cutting, and precision welding. We pre-embed PVC flame-retardant conduits and standard sockets into the overall structure.
All pipe connections undergo a 3-bar pressure test. To ensure a constant indoor temperature in the mountainous area, the walls are lined with 10 mm-thick rock wool.

After the entire internal system is installed, it is encapsulated with Class A fire-resistant metal sandwich panels. The prefabricated wall panels all use interlocking connections, with no exposed bolts.
Shipping and Delivery
- After the contract was signed, the production, interior decoration, and commissioning of all container houses were completed within 45 days.
- Flat packaging and transportation were adopted, which greatly reduced transportation costs. The customer completed all hoisting, stacking, and system connections in just 15 days.
