On February 11, 2026, Wanzhi Steel successfully completed the production and delivery of a complete mobile catering solution for a long-term Jamaican client. This solution included a trailer-mounted food truck, two electric food tricycles, and other modular components. This client purchased five of our foldable container homes in 2025, and this collaboration demonstrates their satisfaction with our products and services.
Client Background
The client is a Jamaican mobile catering operator specializing in street food and event catering. In 2025, they purchased folding container houses as temporary housing for their employees. This time, they hope to expand their business with customized mobile kitchens and therefore sought durable, weatherproof equipment that could operate reliably in tropical climates.
They requested a high degree of customization, fully equipped with internal appliances, sinks, and other features, ready for immediate production upon delivery.

- Independent fryer: A separate gas fryer (not installed in the food truck) is shipped with the container.
- Based on the client’s requirements and considering Jamaica’s temperature and climate, we made the following material selections.
Project Material Selection
- Frame and Structure: The trailer and tricycle chassis are constructed from 1.5 mm-thick Q235 carbon steel square tubing.
- Folding House/Trailer Walls: EPS sandwich panels, RAL9002 grey-white/RAL1016 yellow PPGI, roller-coated with polyester paint, aluminum inner layer.
- Electric Tricycle Shell: 0.6mm thick RAL1016 yellow PPGI steel sheet.
- Interior: Worktops, sink, and cooking equipment surfaces are made of 304 stainless steel; hot-dip galvanized non-slip flooring; the interior of the folding house uses environmentally friendly fireproof panels.
- Electrical Components: UL/CE certified 220V sockets, switches, and wiring with waterproof housing; the folding house is equipped with a US standard 110V compatible interface.
Project Production
1. Custom Design: Our technical team finalized the 2D/3D models and drawings based on the client’s requirements: generator box, double-sided platform, and storage cabinets.
2. Frame Welding: The entire steel structure frame is sandblasted for rust removal and reinforced with anti-corrosion primer; folding houses/food carts are fitted with sandwich panels, and tricycles are fitted with PPGI color-coated steel sheets.
3. Panel Assembly: The sandwich panels are cut to the required dimensions and installed, with all joints sealed with waterproofing.
4. Equipment Installation:
- Tricycle/Food Truck: Cooking equipment (gas fryer, frying pan, grill), refrigeration equipment, sink, and ventilation system are all installed by professionals and undergo gas/electrical safety testing.
- Foldable House: Includes US standard electrical system, doors and windows, flooring, and interior trim. One replacement floorboard is provided (for spare parts for the customer’s 2025 order).
Quality Inspection
- Electrical/gas safety performance verification
- Color consistency check (grey-white/yellow respectively, check the RAL color code)
- Waterproof sealing performance test (folding house/food cart). After passing the test, proceed to the packaging stage.
Packaging and Transportation
All components were wrapped with protective foam and stretch film. The generator, deep fryer, oven, etc., were packed in wooden crates with cushioning material. Product names and operating instructions were affixed to the packaging. All components were uniformly loaded into a 40-ft high container, staggered, and then securely tied together.
This project met the client’s plan to launch the catering project on time. The vibrant colors and the openable shed were features that greatly pleased the client.
