He was looking for a range of materials for his greenhouse project. Production Breakthrough
After receiving the order on May 18, we quickly organized a production meeting and adopted a dual-line parallel production plan.
Galvanized pipe production line
We selected S350GD+Z275 high-strength galvanized steel for the project, using specialized tubing with a 2.5mm wall thickness. This will serve as the main load-bearing structure of the greenhouse, and its strength meets Uzbekistan’s wind and snow load requirements.
Color-coated steel coil production line
The client specified that the steel coils required further processing for the roof covering, with a blue top and white back, so we cut and pressed the coils. He specified three different tile styles. Blue is both aesthetically pleasing and reflects sunlight, which is beneficial for temperature control in this project.
Quality control
We implement a rigorous quality control process. All galvanized pipes undergo three inspections: first, the zinc coating thickness is measured using a thickness gauge to ensure it meets the Z275 standard; next, the surface quality is checked to eliminate defects such as runs and incomplete galvanizing; finally, the wall thickness and roundness are measured.
For color-coated steel coils, the color is compared to the RAL color chart, and the coating surface is inspected to ensure there are no scratches or indentations. For steel purlins and fasteners, dimensions and galvanizing quality are verified.
Finally, a quality certificate is attached.
Packaging solutions
- Galvanized pipes are wrapped in rust-proof paper and bubble wrap, and bundled in units of six.
- Color-coated steel coils are fitted with wooden corner protectors and secured to pallets with steel straps.
- Fasteners are packaged in waterproof woven bags according to specifications.
- All packaging materials are labeled in Uzbek for easy on-site inventory.
Logistics and shipping
This batch of greenhouse materials was shipped from Qingdao Port to Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It was transported by sea in 40-foot high cube containers, with a total transit time of 25 days. We prepared complete documentation, including a certificate of origin, packing list, invoice, and quality certificate. Upon arrival at the port, customs clearance was completed in just two working days using the prepared documents. The goods were immediately put into use for the construction of five greenhouses.
